Apply for Graduate School to the University of Florida.
- Students doing a M.S. in an online mode are regular graduate students at the University of Florida, they just happen to not be on the UF campus. All requirements for admission and graduation are exactly the same as an on-campus student.
- To enter graduate school at UF you need a 3.0 GPA or better in the last two years of your undergraduate degree, a 213 or better on the TOEFL, a GRE score of > 1000 (verbal + quantitative), and be accepted into the program of a professor in the Soil and Water Science Department or Entomology and Nematology Department.
- For international students we require that you be affiliated with a CGIAR center, university, industry or consultancy that has qualified scientists and infrastructure to support a thesis project; unless you are taking the professional option that does not require a thesis.
- Lastly, we require that a member of your supervisory committee be in-country, be from the above organization and that his/her credentials be accepted by our graduate program to act on that committee.
- Lastly, before acceptance, your major professor here on campus needs to communicate with the potential in-country supervisory committee member and talk about the research that would be done and the support for that research. We do that so there is a clear understanding of what is expected by all parties in the participation and support of the student's program.
