International Travel Clinic offers health counseling

Faculty, staff and students planning to travel abroad can receive up-to-date health counseling about recommended vaccines, medications and specific health precautions to follow to make sure the travel experience is optimally healthful.

Two SHCC clinic sites offer travel counseling and vaccinations.

  • Student Health Care Center
    1 Fletcher Drive, main campus
    Wednesdays all day
    Thursday mornings
    Friday afternoons
    392-1161 Ext 4312
  • Student Health at Shands
    Room D 2-42
    2nd Floor Dental Tower
    Health Science Center
    Monday afternoons
    Tuesday mornings
    392-0627

These services are by appointment only. Travelers are advised to call well in advance for appointment. Vaccines should be administered weeks before departure for optimal disease protection.

There is a charge for these services. If an employee’s department is paying, an official UF encumbrance number is required. For employees paying their own expenses, cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted. At this time, the SHCC at Shands satellite clinic does not accept credit cards.
